Saturday Morning Intercessory Prayer
John Street Baptist Church holds weekly prayer meetings every Saturday 8 a.m. to 9am. in the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited. God says to pray without ceasing.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV)
This is an hour set aside each week to boldly come before the throne of grace.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
We seek to provide an atmosphere of prayer and praise. It is a time to lay down any burdens you are carrying either by going to the altar or silently praying in the pew.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
It is also a time of intercessory prayer for our Pastor and family, our family, government and leaders around the world.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (NKJV)
The doors of the Church are open.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV)
